New age

New Age promotes the development of personal strength and Divinity within each person. When a follower of the New Age movement talks about God, she/he talks about God or Divine consciousness within each person. The new age movement has no homogeneous ideology; it consists of various tendencies directed towards various aspects of spirituality.

Many branches are similar to Hinduism, recognizing many different gods and goddesses. Also, within the new age movement, our planet Earth is often considered as living entity, possessing Her own intelligence, emotions, spirituality and Divinity.

New Age encompasses a broad spectrum of eastern mystical teachings, and spiritual and metaphysical techniques, breathing exercises, chanting, mantras, meditations, all in order to be able to expand one's own consciousness and personal Divinity.

All the negative aspects that can be experienced in one's life, such as sorrow, anger, selfishness, pain, etc., are considered illusion.

It is no surprise that at the beginning of the 21st century the New Age movement has expanded to such an extent. The demand of the time and influx of new spiritual energies in one's life is such that people increasingly start to question old systems of spirituality seeking for new answers and new points of view.
