For example, conspiracy theories often involve a secret plan conceived by a group of powerful people, often termed as "powerful elite". Often the elements of spontaneity is denied, as well as the direct involvement of the participants. The term conspiracy theory often has negative connotations, and is accompanied by negative meanings, such as for instance paranoid and unfounded beliefs.

The most frequent topics and discussions in the field of conspiracy theories are masons, illuminati, new world order, landing on the Moon, multinational corporations, Vatican, and other powerful and influential associations.

People who are involved in these types of theories often claim that the name conspiracy theories is given only to laugh at and discredit people who possess critical spirit and are not prone to believing in the official truths of the leading world countries and world media.
