Pyrimed was an idea conceived by Dr. Williams in 2005 after he established his emergency medicine practice. He thought it would be an excellent idea to promote preventive wellness and serve his community by providing flu shots, and other vaccinations recommended by the CDC that would minimize sickness and disease in the public forums such as corporations, educational institutions, religious and community base organizations. It was not until 2007, he decided to team up with an aggressive young upstart company and funded the campaign to carry out his mission of providing this public service.
