Gnosis

The word Gnosis comes from Greek and means SUPREME KNOWLEDGE as obtained via direct inner experience. When we talk about Gnosis we talk about knowledge obtained and perceived directly, not by intellectual, or conceptual processes. Gnosis is considered by many as a method that brings cessation of suffering as in order to enter the objective reality it is necessary to overcome the subjective mind which is the cause of suffering. In this regard, Gnosis is no different than Buddhism and it concept of cessation of suffering.

Gnosis is considered to be the everlasting wisdom that Isus, Krishna, Buddha, Mohamed, Babaji, Hermes, Pythagoras, Moses, Socrates, and many other great teachers taught. It is said to be the golden thread that connects all religions and all civilizations of all times - pure universal expression of love and wisdom. Gnosis is the path of self-improvement, self-realization, and revealing the mysteries of life through own experience.

All gnostical teachings are based on four pillars: Science, Art, Philosophy, and Mysticism/Religion.

In Christianity, there can be found Gnostic elements. The Christian Gnosis is somewhat younger than Christianity, although some Gnostic gospels originate already from the first century AD. Gnosticism was also influenced by the Pythagorean teachings about the mystical powers of the numbers.

Some of the topics that are studied in Gnosis are: meditation, gnostic psichology, dream yoga, perfect marriage, power of mantras, astral travel, runes, Kabbalah, elimination of the ego, sexual transmutation, sacred sexuality, mysteries of the fire, and many others. True gnosis can offer the spiritual seekers a possibility to get to know themselves and to achieve realization of the limitless potentials of their beings.
