MIT Program on Global change

Program dedicated to improving the knowledge of how people interact with our Earth systems, especially focusing on the recent climate changes as well as using alternative energy sources. This is a scientific approach to assessing the potential responses to global risks, and improving our understanding of the problems we are facing today.

A multidisciplinary team of scientists is active with several core programs, such as integration of earth components and human systems, acessing the risk of dangerous climate change, mitigation studies, technical change new energy resources and systems, impact of the conventional air pollution to climate, improved estimation of earth responses and other issues.

On their site you can find a list of top 10 most asked questions regarding climate change and their answers. Some of the questions include, for example, what climate changes have to do with humans, whether this climate change is comparable to the earlier ones, whether this climate change is a part of normal natural cycles, whether the negative effects have been overstated, if the higher carbon dioxide would affect the plant growth in the future, etc.
