Information about Animal Ecology

wice logo

This is a website dedicated to preservation of animal species where you can find out why most species of the world will go extinct before climate change can kill them, and what you can do to prevent this. The site is maintained by the World Institute for Conservation and Environment, which is also host and author of the Nature Worldwide Web Net. Although the navigation system on the www.animal-ecology.info website is somewhat irritating, as most of the internal links are opened in a new tab or window, the abundance of information and resources related to animal species protection makes it worth visiting and studying.

We recommend checking out the World Regions section. Here you can browse through the countries and regions of the world and explore the localized lists of birds, mammals and national parks or protected areas.

From here you select the regions where you want to go. The checklist are listed per country and for large countries per state or province. The world is divided into 10 practical regions. Each region lists the country pages of all the countries of that region larger than 20,000 km2. For each country there is a checklist of the birds, of the mammals and of national parks and protected areas. There are country specific links on various themes such as conservation organizations, travel facilitators, country information, etc.

Apart from the above, this website comprises various info about ECOTOURISM, ECOSYSTEMS, CORAL REEFS, BIODIVERSITY and VEGETATION ECOLOGY.
